During the '90, A.Y.G.L designed in Ashdod a new Mechanical Transfer Station that was not erected.
During this period, the waste of the City continued to be landfilled in Retamim Site.
A.Y.G.L was responsible on the engineering works in the landfill :
– Rehabilitation of the Northern Cell (9 acres)
– Preparation of a new Cell of 20 acres for 3,000 tpd from Tel Aviv landfill
– Design of the closure and rehabilitation of the landfill (60 acres) including
a 1,000,000 ton cell for dry waste
In 2003 A.Y.G.L prepared for the Financial Company of Ashdod plans, specifications and tender documents for a temporary transfer station in the Northern Industrial Zone . The Transfer Station was built and still receiving 450 tpd including wood trimmings.
In 2013 A.Y.G.L prepared for the Financial Company detailed design, building permit and tender documents for a Sorting Facility for 700 tpd in that zone ,that was not erected.
In 2014 A.Y.G.L prepared for the BENNY & ZVIKA Ltd detailed design for a C&D Recycling Plant in that zone which serves the city nowadays.
In 2016 A.Y.G.L prepared for Elyakim Ben Ari Ltd the respond to a new DBOT tender for a Sorting Facility for 700 tpd of Ashdod. That was the only respond to the tender and the awarding of the project is expected in 2017.
