MSW sorting and organics recycling
In 1988, Avraham Jacob started the permitting process of EVLAYIM Landfill.
The landfill was finally approved in 1995. The landfill has been operated since then receiving more than 3 million tons of waste. A.Y.G.L has designed the development of new cells including lining, leachate and landfill gas collection and treatment . The design included development of vertical lime stone walls by shotcrete of a special concrete mix after many laboratory tests.
In 2012 the central part of the landfill was rehabilitated according A.Y.G.L design that included geogrid reinforcement layers, geomembranes lining system, geocomposite drainage layers, landfill gas collection layers gas and leachate wells system, the flaring equipment , the leachate treatment system and the final cover of the site.
In 2011 A.Y.G.L designed a MSW Sorting Plant and a Covered Aerated Windrows Composting Facility.
In 2010 A.Y.G.L prepared the enlargement permit documents of the landfill that will included a 6 acres cell for rejects landfilling, a leachate pond and construction of recycling facilities as tiers recycling, plastic recycling, wood trimmings etc.
